    This review is a summary review and not a critical review of Femi Ademiluyi’s The New Man. The book was published in 1994 by Newdeal Publication having 326 pages. It commences with a prelude before Book One, The Puritan; Book Two, A Time of Trials; Book Three, Lord of the Land; and Book Four, Dreams Never Die. The story begins with the judgment of Justice Umu, a judge full of courtroom theatrics. Ayo Badejo is standing trial before him. Contrary to popular expectation, Umu does not care a whit by going ahead to sentence Ayo to death. The nexus of his judgment is not in the shooting of Layeni’s son but in the political involvement and imbroglio surrounding Ayo and the Ipaja people.
