Early Life and Education

Patrick Branwell Bronte was born in Thornton, near Bradford, Yorkshire, as the fourth child and only son of Patrick Bronte and his wife, Maria Branwell Bronte. He was the younger brother of the famous writers Charlotte, Emily, and Anne Bronte. While his sisters were sent to the Cowan Bridge School, Branwell received his education at home from his father, who provided him with a classical education. From a young age, Branwell, along with his sisters, engaged in writing and creating imaginary worlds. Together with Charlotte, he co-authored a book called "Legends of Angria," which contained their adolescent adventure stories.
